2018 Moon Mountain
Cabernet Franc

Beautifully balanced with enticing notes of ripe black plum, blueberry, and white pepper mingling with earthy notes of cut greens and wet slate. Limited release.

Harvested exclusively from the rocky, volcanic soils of the Moon Mountain appellation outside of the town of Sonoma, this full-bodied wine expresses excellent varietal typicity. Enticing notes of ripe black plum, blueberry, and white pepper mingle with earthy notes of wet fall leaves and cut greens. Juicy blue and black fruits on the palate are balanced by a hint of wet slate and well-integrated tannins, with a bright acidity that elevates the notes of cacao in the finish.

Moon Mountain, Sonoma County

Sonoma County encompasses 60,000 acres of vineyards and 18 distinct appellations. We focus on sourcing fruit for our Sonoma County cabernet franc from the Moon Mountain district to provide elegant and intensely structured wines.

The Moon Mountain District is located in the eastern hills above Sonoma Valley at elevations ranging from 400 to over 2,000 feet within the Mayacamas Mountain Range. With predominantly southeastern facing slopes and rocky, volcanic soils, the region is known for producing high quality, full-bodied varieties such as cabernet franc.
